Ghent University Museum

Over the years, Ghent University has build up a collection of over 642.393 heritage objects, spread within several collections. These have been the result of over 200 years of research, education and collecting at Ghent University, covering many scientific disciplines. The future University Museum will connect the academic-scientific zeal with societal awareness, assure the collection of this heritage within the correct disciplines, and wants to disclose this legacy in a modern manner. This historic-scientific story should inspire a very wide audience. The order for this future university museum was finally entrusted with the concept-group ‘Handelsreizigers in Ideeën’, architect-scenographer Koen Bovée and graphic designers ‘Jan & Randoald’
