MAP - Mercator

As the only museum in Belgium that focuses entirely on cartography, MAP – Mercator shows how maps have shaped our world for centuries – and continue to do so today. From science and politics to technology and everyday life, maps guide how we think, travel and make decisions.

What was once a classic heritage collection is now a true interactive museum. Historical icons such as the original Mercator globes and the Lafreri atlas stand side by side with multimedia, interactive installations and impressive projections.
